26 July 2019 - Projects update and handover - France

Eurovia Alpes (Chambéry office) has spent several months carrying out works in the Avenue de la Grande Motte, in Tignes (south-east France), in preparation for the arrival, on 26 July 2019, of the second-last mountain stage of the Tour de France.

Since the end of the winter season, up to six teams have been deployed simultaneously at the site, working first on the utility networks (wastewater and rainwater, telecommunications, electricity and fibre optic) and then on roadworks. Once this major sporting event is over, the avenue will, in addition, provide better access to the ski slopes. In parallel with these works connected with the Tour de France, Eurovia Alpes has also been working on a number of development projects elsewhere in the town – it has held the maintenance contract for Tignes for a number of years now.
