Widening a road in North Carolina

Blythe Construction (Eurovia) is widening North Carolina Highway 273 (NC 273) at Belmont to four lanes, on behalf of the state’s transport department.

This 30 km-long road serves the towns located along the Catawba River, some 20 kilometers to the west of the Charlotte conurbation. Teams have been working on a 2.1 km-long stretch since September 2017 in order to improve safety and capacity on the existing road, which serves both residential and commercial areas.

The works will complete in March 2019.
