VINCI Energies rolls out optical fibre in 37 of France’s administrative departments

Between now and 2022, VINCI Energies will roll out FTTH (fibre to the home) to 900,000 French homes, enabling them to benefit from very high-speed Internet access.

The projects, from network design to works, are being carried out by Axians, the VINCI Energies information and communication technology brand, which also calls on local specialists. Due to the scope and duration of the worksites, VINCI Energies has hired 500 additional employees, many of them under integration-through-work contracts, to successfully complete the project.
Whether for educational purposes, gaming, on-demand videos or public services, FTTH is a technical solution which, by eliminating signal attenuation despite the distance between IT resources and their users, enables very high-speed connectivity.
