Vibro-compaction, piles, wells and earthworks

The consortium comprising SIF Groutbor, Soletanche Bachy Pieux (both Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction), Prader Losinger, Jaquet and Michel & Fils has secured the contract for the preparatory works for the future Riviera-Chablais Hospital in Rennaz. This contract calls for a treatment using vibro-compaction (in order to prevent soil liquefaction in the event of an earthquake), the creation of ballasted columns, Starsol® piles and cased piles and pumping wells, as well as 26,000 cu. metres of earthworks and the construction of a tunnel in reinforced concrete. All works must be completed by the end of 2015.
