Upgrading works at Víctor Lafón Airport in San Felipe

Teams from Bitumix (Eurovia), in collaboration with the airports authority at Chile’s Ministry of Public Works, have carried out upgrading works at Víctor Lafón Airport in San Felipe, in the centre of the country.

These works concerned the structure and surface of the previously soil runway, which is just over 1 km in length and 30 m in width, as well as the taxiways and the zones where aircraft are prepared for departure.

The new runway, inaugurated in April 2019, means local residents will no longer be inconvenienced by dust generated during take-offs and landings.
