18 September 2015 - Projects update and handover - France

On 6 July 2015, in Poitiers, during a visit by Xavier Huillard, chairman and CEO of VINCI, the Group announced that the earthworks and civil engineering works for the South Europe Atlantic high-speed rail line between Tours and Bordeaux had been completed in record time. It had taken only 38 months, just a little over three years, to build the 340 km rail infrastructure, which notably included 500 engineering structures and 24 viaducts. The Group took the opportunity to commend the performance and commitment of COSEA, the construction joint venture which, led by VINCI Construction and also including Eurovia and VINCI Energies in association with other companies in the sector, was in charge of the design and construction of the line. In addition to its high productivity, the project was exemplary in terms of safety, recording no accidents with serious consequences throughout the total of 25 million hours worked.
