Soil improvement works in the south-west of Australia

In the south-west of Australia, Menard Bachy (Soletanche Freyssinet/ VINCI Construction), in a joint venture with GFWA, is undertaking soil improvement works for a leisure centre adjoining the new Perth stadium (60,000 seats). The soil improvement is being carried out using dynamic compacting techniques and installing controlled modulus columns (CMCs). The contract also includes the installation of sheet piling alongside a neighbouring river.
