Smiling Day 2017: connecting passengers on the VINCI Airports network

The 5th edition of Smiling Day, during which passengers meet airport staff, took place on 31 March 2017 in all airports of the VINCI Airports network.

This year’s event had a new interactive and international side, creating a certain sense of competition among airports located in six different countries.

Eleven of the network’s airports were equipped with cameras and giant screens providing live coverage, in each airport, of encounters between passengers and airport staff in the other connected countries.

A key element of the VINCI Airports policy of being welcoming, encouraging customer loyalty and providing excellent service, this year’s Smiling Day saw 1,280 airport employees welcoming some 254,000 passengers.
