Renovation of the runway at Vilnius Airport

Eurovia Lietuva participated in the major works carried out over the summer of 2017 at Vilnius International Airport, the country’s leading airport, which is experiencing one of the highest growth rates in Europe – annual passenger traffic (3.8 million in 2016) has more than doubled in 10 years.

Built in 1958, at the same time as the airport, the runway had undergone no renovation works for over 20 years.

For Eurovia Lietuva, the works involved replacing the surfacing mix, reinforcing the foundations, installing a new drainage and rainwater collection system and installing a new lighting control system. In total, 36,050 t of mix were produced, and deployed, in record time.
