1 April 2015 - Projects update and handover - France

In late July 2013, following major bad weather, mudslides and major rock falls at the Les Ponants worksite of the planned EDF hydroelectric power plant in Romanche Gavet (south-east France) led to the authorities closing the site. In order to combat these risks, major reinforcement works were carried out by a consortium including Dodin Campenon Bernard (VINCI Construction), and two huge earth dams were installed. Completion of the earthworks in late 2014 meant the site could be reopened in late January 2015.
