1 March 2014 - New contracts - Singapore

JTC Corporation, an industrial infrastructure developer in Singapore, has awarded BCSS, a consortium formed by Vopak Terminals Singapore (45%), Geostock (Entrepose Contracting / VINCI Construction) (35%) and Jurong Consultants (20%), the operation and maintenance contract, for a period of fifteen years, for the first tranche of the Singaporean Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) facility. A pioneering development for South-East Asia, this underground storage facility for petroleum products comprises five cavities mined at great depth beneath the sea. Geostock was responsible for its design, as well as supporting the client during its construction.

The operator’s tasks include the management and maintenance of the underground and surface installations: access shafts to the cavities, underground tunnels, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment, as well as the auxiliary installations, including the piers.
