1 October 2014 - Projects update and handover - France

After 4 years of works carried out by a joint venture composed of CBC and Petit with the participation of Lainé Delau and Degaine - all VINCI Construction France subsidiaries - and of seven VINCI Energies business units, the new five-star Paris hotel opened on 1 August 2014. The works involved a major redevelopment and total transformation of the former Majestic Hotel, a building in the classical style built during the Belle Epoque period which, in the late 1950s, became the international conference centre of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Extending over six storeys and 3 underground levels, it offers 200 rooms (including 34 suites), restaurants, public areas with shops, and a fitness centre with a pool and a spa. The Degaine teams have restored or identically replicated 10,000 sq. metres of façade, notably involving pilasters, balustrades and cascades of carved flowers and little carved bows. Cegelec Tertiaire IdF Grands Projets, Saga Grands Projets Immobiliers, Phibor Espaces, Clémançon and Tunzini in association with project manager VINCI Energies France IdF Tertiaire Contracting (all VINCI Energies France business units) were responsible for the technical works packages: HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), plumbing and high- and low-voltage installations. Axians VP (VINCI Energies France) supplied the hotel’s PA system and the audio-visual equipment.
Total project value: €317 million.
