On 13 December, VINCI Airports inaugurated the new arrival hall and the extension to the boarding area at Phnom Penh International Airport, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, Bin Chhin.

Undertaken by VINCI Construction Grands Projets in partnership with Malaysian company Muhibbah, the works, worth $26 million, represent the second phase of an investment programme launched by VINCI Airports to keep pace with strong traffic growth at the Cambodian airports (+25% in the first 9 months of 2017).

Worth $100 million, the 1st phase had been completed in March 2016 with the inauguration of the new terminals at Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports.

Over 10,000 sq. metres have been added to the existing terminal and some areas have been totally renovated. In addition to the extension, two new conveyor belts have been installed within the arrival hall in order to make life easier for passengers and ensure the best possible delivery of luggage. The domestic departure hall has been enlarged and two additional boarding gates have been brought into service.
