Metamorphosis of Salvador Bahia Airport almost complete

Being undertaken by VINCI Airports (VINCI Concessions), in synergy with Actemium Transport Solutions (VINCI Energies International & Systems), the renovation works at the airport have now been 90% completed.

They notably involve extending the passenger terminal, installing a new jetty, the opening of a new baggage management service and the introduction of new customer services.

The project also includes the construction of a solar power plant, installing a facility for the processing of solid waste, reusing the water system and replacing the LED bulbs in all the renovated areas. These developments will increase the airport’s capacity from 10 to 15 million passengers a year.
