Melbourne Port Rail Transformation Project completed

In Australia, Seymour Whyte (VINCI Construction) has handed over 2.7 km of new rail infrastructure in the port, including a new rail terminal.

The goal on this project was to increase ship to rail capabilities and reduce the number of trucks on the metropolitan road network. During the two years of works, Seymour Whyte built two new rail sidings for 600 metre long trains, constructed and relocated 1.2 km of roads for heavy vehicles, and installed 70,000 sq. metres of pavement for containers.
