1 February 2014 - New contracts - Ouganda

Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction) has won a €57m contract for two major hydraulic engineering projects in the capital, Kampala. The aim of the first is to double production capacity at two drinking water treatment plants, in order to supply the city’s new outlying neighbourhoods. The second involves extending the city’s sanitation network by building 30 km of main sewers (which will contribute to preserving water quality in Lake Victoria).
Financed by the KFW (Germany), the European Union, the French Development Agency (AFD) and the Ugandan government, these works began in January 2014 and will be completed within 18 months.
