Installation of noise barriers on the A63

On the project to widen the A63 between Biriatou and Biarritz (south-west France), to protect local residents from the noise pollution associated with heavy traffic, teams from VINCI Construction Terrassement are creating, on a 20-km section, 50,000 sq. metres of noise barriers (between 1.5 and 6 m in height).

The panels in reinforced concrete and noise-absorbing concrete, several tens of centimetres thick, are being installed against and fixed to metal posts. Completion of this installation is scheduled for June 2017. Reminder: the A63 project is being implemented by teams from Eurovia (leader), VINCI Construction Terrassement, Dodin Campenon Bernard and GTM Sud-Ouest TP GC (VINCI Construction France).
