INAUGURATION Re-routing the A9

The project to re-route the A9 at Montpellier was formally launched on 29 October 2014 in the presence, notably, of Pierre Coppey, chief operating officer of VINCI. The purpose of this new motorway between Saint-Geniès-des-Mourgues and Fabrègues is to enhance safety and improve traffic flow on the A9 in the vicinity of Montpellier by separating through traffic from local traffic. Entry into service is scheduled for late 2017. The current A9 will be assigned to local traffic.
