Diagnosing vibration impact

The Newhaven Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) is a new incinerator developed by Veolia Environnement and located in the south of the country. Hochtief, in charge of its design and construction, tasked Soldata Acoustic UK (Soletanche Freyssinet/VINCI Construction) with assessing and quantifying the impact of vibration caused by certain equipment (vibrating tables) on the stability of the structure. The measurements carried out made it possible to study the transmission of vibration between the different elements of the structure, to evaluate the effectiveness of the damping systems already in place and predict possible harmful consequences.
