Arbonis, a VINCI Construction France subsidiary, has finished installing the roof frames and the roof – which it had designed and manufactured – of the plenary room that will be used by the United Nations during the COP 21, to be held in early December at the Paris Le Bourget site, by Paris.

The frames in glue-laminated timber support the entire structure, which is composed of 18 frames and the panels of the timber-framed roof, providing the insulation and acoustics. This 4,000 sq. metre structure, which can be completely dismantled and can accommodate up to 2,000 people, took four weeks to install.
The site was inaugurated on 6 October by Laurent Fabius, French Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, who is in charge of organising the COP 21.
