In the Czech Republic, the authority responsible for roads and motorways has appointed the joint venture formed by Eurovia CS (leader), Metrostav and Swietelsky to create a new, 16 km section, comprising two motorway interchanges and 20 bridges, on the D11 motorway between Hradec Králové and Smiřice, in Bohemia.

The D11 motorway is located in part on the international E67 road, linking Warsaw to Prague, and in part on the international TEN-T network, on the Paris-Prague-Moscow corridor linking Western Europe with Eastern Europe. These works are being co-financed within the framework of the Transport Programme 2014-2020 of the EU’s Cohesion Fund, which aims to reduce social and economic disparities between Member States and to promote sustainable development.

They should be completed in 2022.
