Completion of a Green Way in the Orne department

In late July, Eurovia’s Basse-Normandie (Orne sector) office completed the works to transform a disused railway line into a Green Way (voie verte) between Alençon and Couterne, on behalf of the departmental council.

The works were carried out in synergy with the Carrière de Rouperroux quarry (Eurovia), which supplied the project with the 48,000 t of aggregate and 8,000 t of natural sand needed to cover this 26 km stretch of railway track. The first cyclists and walkers have already been able to enjoy this new trail which is aimed at promoting soft mobility and the development of tourism in the region.
