In the Aube department, where one of its major aggregate production sites is scheduled to close, Eurovia has been granted authorisation to operate a loose rock (sand-lime) quarry in the commune of Blignicourt.

At this site, destined to produce washed river gravel, washed crushed gravel, various types of sand and unbound aggregates, water consumption will be managed thanks to a closed circuit system linking two settling ponds and a watertight basin holding clean water for pumping.

Within the framework of the partnership between Eurovia and the French National Natural History Museum, an EQI (ecological quality indicator) approach was adopted at this new site as of 2015 that will enable the progressive planning of remedial and management measures as a function of the site’s biodiversity issues.
