2 May 2024 - Sustainability - United Kingdom
London Gatwick and Belfast International (VINCI Airports/VINCI Concessions) have cut carbon emissions from their diesel vehicles by 90% by switching to hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO).
Gatwick will later replace its existing vehicles with electric ones, as part of its Decade of Change sustainability strategy, and save 950 tonnes of carbon emissions a year as a result. Belfast International will save more than 290 tonnes.
