- Six-year contract, can be extended two years
- Total contract value at least £144 million (about €180 million)

BEAR Scotland, a Eurovia (VINCI subsidiary), Jacobs and Breedon Aggregates joint venture, has been appointed by Transport Scotland to manage and maintain Scotland’s North East Trunk Roads Unit (613 miles of trunk roads).

The contract will start in August 2014 and run until August 2020 with a possible two-year extension. BEAR Scotland will receive annual remuneration of some £24 million (about €30 million).

With this new contract, BEAR Scotland will now operate and maintain 60% of Scotland's trunk roads, consolidating its position as the leading private-sector roads operator in Scotland.

Multi-year service contracts currently account for 60% of Eurovia's business activity in the United Kingdom. Over the past two decades the company has acquired substantial experience and built a sound track record in its work for local authorities and the British administration.
