Appointment: Pierre Coppey named Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes France

Xavier Huillard, Director and Chief Executive Officer of VINCI, has named Pierre Coppey Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes France, which brings together the motorway concession companies ASF, Cofiroute, ESCOTA and Arcour. He succeeds Henri Stouff, who retires on 1 July 2009. Pierre Coppey will also be a member of the VINCI Executive Committee.

Pierre Coppey remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cofiroute and Arcour.

A proposal will be submitted to the ASF Board of Directors at its next meeting that Pierre Coppey become its Chairman, replacing Henri Stouff.

Pierre Coppey will also be a member of the ESCOTA Board of Directors.

Born in 1963, Pierre Coppey is a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Strasbourg (1984), an alumnus of the Strasbourg School of Journalism, the holder of a Master's in Politics (Paris II) and an alumnus of the Post and Telecommunications school (ENSPTT 1986). In 1989 he was appointed head of Internal and Institutional Communications at the French Post Office, La Poste. He joined Campenon Bernard SGE in 1992 as head of Corporate Communications. He became head of Corporate Communications for the SGE Group in 1996, a function he combined, on joining the Executive Committee of VINCI in 2001, with being Vice-President, Human Resources and Synergies, before being appointed Executive Vice President of VINCI early in 2006. Pierre Coppey has been Chairman & CEO of Cofiroute since December 2007.
