VINCI wins two contracts in Germany

SKE Technischer Service GmbH, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, has signed a maintenance contract with the U.S. government covering 54 schools in Germany and Belgium operated by Department of Defense Dependents Schools – Europe (DoDDS).
This 5-year contract, for which total amount is €86 million, is divided into one year firm and four years optional (contract to be confirmed once a year).
In addition to facilities management, the contract covers maintenance and repair of buildings and infrastructure, minor refurbishments, landscaping and custodial services.

SKE Facility Management GmbH, a subsidiary of VINCI Construction, has signed an €81 million public-private partnership (PPP) contract covering financing, constructing, operating and maintaining of four schools with the city of Nuremberg.
The contract comprises first a works phase covering refurbishment and expansion (additional classrooms and gymnasium) of an existing school, construction of two school complexes (school buildings and gymnasium) and construction of a gymnasium in an existing school, to be completed over a period of about two years. It also comprises a 25-year maintenance phase covering these four schools.
This contract follows eight PPP school projects already managed by SKE.

Work on the two contracts began in March 2009.
