Nicolas Notebaert appointed Chairman of VINCI Airports

David Azéma, CEO of VINCI Concessions, has just made Nicolas Notebaert responsible for the airport sector at VINCI Concessions, as Chairman of VINCI Airports.


He will be in charge of expanding VINCI’s references and expertise in the area of airport management with a view to participating fully in developments in this sector, in France and then in Europe.


Born in 1970, a graduate of the Polytechnique (X 89) and the Ponts et Chaussées engineering school (IPC 94) and holder of an MBA, from 1995 to 2002 Nicolas Notebaert held a number of different posts at the French Ministry of Equipment and Transport, serving in particular as a member of the Minister’s personal staff from 2000 to 2002. He joined the VINCI Group in 2002, as head of Cofiroute’s Operations division; in 2004 he was made responsible, at VINCI Airports, for the development and operation of the French airports. As of 2005, he was also responsible for business development in France for VINCI Concessions.


VINCI Airports is a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, the leading European operator of transport infrastructure concessions, which, with 600 million customers, generated net sales in 2007 of 4,580 million euros. VINCI Concessions manages 6 airports in France (Grenoble, Clermont-Ferrand and Chambéry) and in Cambodia, handling a total of 4.5 million passengers a year.
