Underground storage for green hydrogen near Berlin
German energy service provider EWE is creating an underground hydrogen storage facility in a cavern near Berlin.
The company has appointed Actemium (VINCI Energies) to supply all the electrical technology for this site, located at a depth of 1,000 m: all the electrical installations, the instrumentation, monitoring and control (IMC), and the IMC connection to the EWE installation in Rudersdorf. The construction of this 500 m3 experimental cavern should take 18 months
