Our actions dedicated to students and young graduates

Because we want to encourage more young women to become engineers or technicians, we have been partnering with the non-profit Elles Bougent since 2018. Its goal is to facilitate meetings between our employees and young women at forums, site visits, fairs, tournaments, rallies, conferences and other events in universities and junior and senior secondary schools.

The “In the Shoes of a Female Engineer” programme, run by the EPF Foundation in partnership with VINCI and the Elles Bougent association, aims to encourage women to pursue careers in engineering. Launched in 2025, it is endorsed by various institutions like the French Ministry of Education, and takes place in June across ten regions of France. For two weeks, participants alternate between immersion in an engineering school and work experience in a company. This initiative, unique in France, provides a practical, comprehensive and inspiring understanding of engineering professions.

Our partnership with the INSA (Institut national des sciences appliquées) foundation dates back to 2019. Through it, we support students at its seven schools with 200 grants as well as mentoring. In 2021, we also started holding Le Jeudi de l’Éloquence, an eloquence contest, with Usbek & Rica, a French magazine and online community that explores the future of our society. 

In 2025, the contenders discussed inclusive workplaces. The goal is to fuel debate about a society-wide topic, so as to encourage youths to ask questions, share their views and hone their eloquence.

This challenge showcases the talents of tomorrow: VINCI Group work-study students and interns, who have worked on innovative IT and digital projects. Following the screening of applications by a committee and a final judged by a panel comprising VINCI’s CIOs and HR professionals, as well as the heads of partner IT schools, the three best projects, along with the public’s favorite, were awarded prizes.

Under its partnership with the École nationale des ponts et chaussées, an engineering school, VINCI is working with class of 2026 students on two topics:

• gender diversity, with women mentors;
• the environment, with a variety of initiatives including Epopée Verte, a serious game using cards inspired by the Climate Fresk to explore environmental solutions at work within VINCI, and a challenge around VINCI’s Environment Awards involving a deep dive into real life at VINCI’s operations through 20 green solutions developed by the Group’s teams (an award-winning challenge at the 2025 AGIRES SYNERGIE Trophies).

VINCI has partnered with the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP) since 2019, financing five study grants each year to cover accommodation costs for foreign students.

Group employees also work with the five students during the academic year, helping them fine-tune their career plans, lending advice, taking them on company tours and helping them find suitable internships.

Contributing to social cohesion involves large-scale initiatives as well as small gestures. The merit scholarships that VINCI provides for foreign students at the CIUP, along with the mentoring by its employees, are a perfect example of this.
