Freyssinet installs the suspenders of the Reims bowstring bridge

As part of the creation ofthe motorway bypass roundthe south of the city ofReims (north-east France),Freyssinet Agence Câbles etManutentions (SCCM), asubsidiary of SoletancheFreyssinet (VINCI Construction),supplied and installed the26 suspenders of a bowstringtypebridge, created on behalfof SANEF (the companyoperating motorways innorthern and eastern France).

The bringing into serviceof the bridge, on 23 November,marked the completionof 32 months of works.Eurovia’s Reims office alsoparticipated in this bypass project, setting up thetemporary alternative routes,reinstating various roadwaysand reinforcing the lower androad carpet layers of theA4-A26 link-up, within theframework of three contractsworth €8.5m.
