10 million passengers for Rhônexpress!
A subsidiary of VINCI Railways (VINCI Concessions), Rhônexpress celebrated its 10 millionth passenger in December.
Brought into service in August 2010, this rail link connects the centre of Lyon with Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport (operated by VINCI Airports) and the Lyon Part-Dieu TGV train station. Rhônexpress teams organised a variety of entertainments on 11 and 12 December at the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport terminus station.
Coming 8 years after its introduction, this 10-million-passenger milestone testifies to the dynamism of this first French shuttle service between a city centre and an airport.
