Greater Paris project

Launched in 2010, the Greater Paris project is one of the largest urban development projects in the world. It aims to transform the Île-de-France region into a sustainable, connected and inclusive global metropolis. The cornerstone of this programme is the construction of the Grand Paris Express - one of the largest transport network projects in Europe - which aims to meet a number of challenges: opening up the region, boosting economic attractiveness and meeting the expectations of a society seeking mobility, social integration and resilience in the face of climate change.
