VINCI, concession operator of Moscow - St Petersburg motorway
VINCI, concession operator of Moscow–St Petersburgmotorway North-West Concession Company (NWCC), a consortium comprisingVINCI Concessions, leader, and Russian partners, has signed aconcession contract for the first section of a toll motorway betweenMoscow and St Petersburg with Rosavtodor, the grantor, in the presenceof the Russian Minister of Transport, Mr Levitin.
The contract calls for the design, finance, construction andoperation of a 43 km section of motorway which will alleviatecongestion on the existing M10 link between Sheremetyevo InternationalAirport, Moscow’s main airport, and the city centre. Totalconstruction cost is estimated at approximately 1 billion Euros.
The concession contract, covering a period of 30 years with apossible five-year extension, will come into force during the firsthalf of 2010 once financing arrangements have been completed, and willbe followed by a 36 month construction phase.
