Water treatment plant in Cameroon

On 23 January 2013, the Cameroonian Minister for Water and Energy, Basile Atangana Kouna, and the French Ambassador to Cameroon, Christine Robichon, inaugurated the Mefou water treatment plant, in Yaoundé. Undertaken by Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction) on behalf of Camwater, the works to rehabilitate and extend this facility will provide the capital’s residents with an additional 50,000 cu. metres of drinking water a day.
Worth €30m, the works took 28 months to complete.
