The École buissonnière opens its doors in Rouen

In Normandy, the old école normale d’institutrices de Rouen has been transformed into a vast property complex, named the École buissonnière, including a four-star hotel boasting 85 rooms, a spa and a restaurant, 7,500 m² of office space and two car parks, across a landscaped area spanning two hectares.

Led by Sogea Nord-Ouest (VINCI Construction), the work included extensive renovation, heritage work, and a considered environmental strategy, supported by a deliberate decision to integrate the circular economy. One of the most impactful choices involved reusing 150 formworks for posts to make new ones. The complex celebrates the site’s past, drawing attention to its historical features.
