VINCI and Leonard, sponsors of the Close-Up film festival
Since 2022, the VINCI Group, including its innovation and foresight platform Leonard, has been supporting Close-Up, the film festival on the city, architecture and landscapes. A look back at the 2025 edition where cinema once again brought together and brought together curious and professionals around the theme of the making of the city and territories.
A week to change the way we look at the city, architecture and urban planning in cinema
From November 17 to 25, 2025, the 5th edition of the Close-Up festival took place : it has established itself as the reference film event in Paris and Île-de-France region to address the themes of the city, architecture and landscapes. The rich programme of fiction, documentaries and unpublished films, complemented by round tables and debate spaces, was an opportunity for exchanges between the many stakeholders who deal with and transform territories: from students to sociologists, from architects to public decision-makers, from urban planners to project managers, etc.

"Close-Up is a festival about the city, architecture and landscapes, which questions the aesthetics and the challenges of making the city, today and tomorrow."
Aldo Bearzatto and Hervé Bougon, founders and artistic directors of the festival.
From the young spectator, to the informed cinephile; from the curious to the professional; this year, organizers and partners have once again invited a plural audience to question themselves, through images, and to imagine their cities, their territories, their landscapes, in all their dimensions: social, political, technical, ecological and aesthetic.

The VINCI Group, historical sponsor of the Close-Up film festival
Since the creation of the festival by two film enthusiasts, VINCI has supported Close-Up: this sponsorship fits perfectly with the Group's challenges as a major player in the construction and development of cities and regions.
The festival, which questions lifestyles and urban transformations, echoes the activities of Leonard, VINCI's innovation and foresight platform, which anticipates changes in territories by bringing together researchers, companies and public stakeholders. It also resonates with the research work of La Fabrique de la Cité, a think tank on urban transformations, which analyzes the social and economic dynamics of the city and questions its imaginaries.
