Variable signalling for two tunnels

In late 2011, Signature Traffic Systems (Eurovia) won a major project for variable signalling for the Grouft and Stafelter tunnels in Luxembourg, together with the installation of signs and traffic lights. Following the start of design and planning in early 2012, and the implementation of the works – installation of the equipment, cabling, testing of the control system –, the traffic management system for the Grouft tunnel (3.2 km) has been operational since the end of June. That of the Stafelter tunnel (1.6 km), still in course of being installed, should come into service in late 2014.
Contract value (procurement and works): €4.7m.
