Own-lane bus service starting in Martinique

The laying of the foundation stone for the bus maintenance centre in Le Lamentin, on 23 June, marked the start of the BRT (bus rapid transit) project, being implemented within the framework of a partnership contract awarded to Caraibus, a VINCI Concessions subsidiary. In addition to this structure, Caraib Moter (Eurovia), leader, and Sogea Martinique (VINCI Construction) will design and build the two interchange stations, 16 bus stops and the service’s 2.5 km of bus lane.
The works are due to be completed in the course of the last quarter of 2015. Total amount invested: €98.5m, including the works, supplying the buses and managing the contract.
