Oil drilling contract

Cairn India Ltd., which is exploring and developing an onshore field in the state of Rajasthan in partnership with the national Indian company ONGC, has awarded Cofor (Entrepose Contracting/ VINCI Construction) a three-year multi-annual contract (plus an option for a further year) to drill development oil wells in India. These drilling operations will be undertaken using a hydraulic device of the latest generation (capacity: 200 t).
The contract is worth some 30 million US dollars (about €22m).
