New terminal for the port of Jebel Ali

Soletanche Bachy, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), in a joint venture with TOA, has just secured a contract for the design, construction, procurement for and equipping of Terminal 3 in the port of Jebel Ali, in Dubai. Built on behalf of DP World, the world’s third-biggest port operator, the future terminal (length: 1,860 m) and its associated storage area (70 hectares) will be able to handle the latest generation of container ships. Their handover, in 2014, will increase the capacity of the port of Jebel Ali from 15 to 19 million containers.
