Electrical equipment for the Dortmund-Ems Canal

Cegelec Magdeburg (VINCI Energies International) has signed a contract with WNA Datteln to overhaul the electrical and communications equipment of three locks and dams on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, which links Dortmund with the North Sea. The business unit is charged with designing, supplying, assembling and commissioning all the electrical equipment, and subsequently linking it to a control centre. The works began in November 2011 and will be completed in 2013. Contract value: 2.15 million euros.
