Covering over the RER A

After installing micropiles between the tracks of the RER Ain Nanterre, by Paris in 2011, Soletanche Bachy, a Soletanche Freyssinet subsidiary (VINCI Construction), in a consortium, has won the contract to cover over the lines and provide overhead crossings as part of the “Cœur de quartier” programme. The company will be supplying temporary retaining walls, a 7,000 sq. metre diaphragm wall and barrettes for the foundations of a future overpass for the use of buses and trams.
The works start in October 2012, and will take 29 months to complete.
