Construction of a new bridge over the Tietê River

Entrevias (VINCI Highways/VINCI Concessions) began building a new bridge over the Tietê River in Brazil, reaching an important milestone in the project to extend the SP-333 motorway.

Spanning 2.4 km and located between Novo Horizonte and Pongaí in the centre of the state of São Paulo, the bridge will be the second longest in the state. This new phase of works is expected to generate over 500 direct and indirect jobs. In cooperation with the São Paulo state environmental agency, Entrevias will pursue an ambitious environmental plan, including providing temporary habitats and safely reinstalling local wildlife affected by the building project, continuously monitoring the water quality in the Tietê River and the health of aquatic life, as well as organising workshops to educate local communities about the environment.
