Automated production of solar panels for satellites
Actemium Toulouse Robotique & Automation (VINCI Energies) is helping Thales Alenia Space set up a factory to automatically manufacture solar panels for satellites.
The automated production lines developed by the teams will have an assembly capacity of 100,000 to 200,000 photovoltaic cells per year to provide energy for satellites; the first to benefit will be Indonesian telecoms satellite SATRIA, developed with Thales Alenia Space.
