Tunnel drive completed on Line 12 in Paris

On 5 December 2011, the TBM Élodie finished boring the 3,640 m-long tunnel for the extension to the Paris Metro’s Line 12. Located between the Porte de la Chapelle station and the town centre of Aubervilliers, these works were entrusted to a consortium including Chantiers Modernes BTP, Sogea TPI, GTM Génie Civil et Services IDF and Campenon Bernard TP, as well as Botte Fondations for the diaphragm walls - all VINCI Construction France subsidiaries.Apart from the driving of the tunnel, the works involve creating a station and five access and rescue shafts. Total contract value: €109m.
