Motorway tunnel in Slovakia

Eurovia CS won the contract to build the D3 motorway, in the north of Slovakia, in 2014; in March 2015 it began driving the Považský Chlmec Tunnel. This structure, 2.2 km in length, will help to reduce traffic on the existing sections of the I/11 and I/18 roads. In accordance with tradition, the launch of the works involved the consecration of a statuette of Saint Barbara, patron saint of workmen and engineers working underground. The works are expected to take 1,095 days.
