Inauguration - Motorway interchange in North Rhine-Westphalia

On 22 June 2015, the new Bochum-West motorway interchange, to the west of Dortmund, was inaugurated in the presence of, among others, the President of the Bundestag and the secretary of state at the Federal Ministry of Transport. Extending over nine years and implemented by a joint venture composed of Eurovia Bottrop and Heitkamp, the project included widening about 7 km of the A40 motorway to 2x3 lanes.
