Demolition in a densely populated urban area

In the Part-Dieu neighbourhood of the 3rd arrondissement of Lyon (central France), between February and December 2014, teams from Cardem (Eurovia) completely demolished a four-storey building with two underground levels. The operation involved removing asbestos from four storeys (8,000 sq. metres) within a very tight time frame, followed by the total demolition of the interior and the entire superstructure. A total of 10,000 cu. metres of concrete was demolished and removed.
