Côte d’Ivoire: commissioning of a new drinking water plant in Abidjan

In Côte d’Ivoire, 60 Sogea-Satom (VINCI Construction) employees, including 58 hired locally, took part in the construction of the new Saint Viateur drinking water plant in Abidjan.

With a capacity of 1,200 cu. metres per hour, this plant now supplies drinking water to some 150,000 people. The works, for the Ministry of Hydraulics, also included construction of a 3,000 cu. metre storage tank, equipment of four 200 cu. metre boreholes, civil engineering for the hydraulic structures, the hydro-electro-mechanical systems for the hydraulic structures, the electrical installations for the sites, construction of a neutralisation and disinfection unit processing 800 cu. metres of water per hour, and a booster station handling 1,200 cu. metres per hour.
